Precautions for replacing 550 brushes

1. When replacing the carbon brush, you should wear wire gloves, wear insulating shoes, and fasten your clothes and cuffs without entanglement.

2. When operating, only one hand or two hands can touch the same point for operation, and two hands are not allowed to touch different points, and two people are not allowed to operate at the same time, so as to avoid contact with live parts.

3. When the carbon brush is too short, less than 1/4 of the original length, or the brush braid is seriously discolored or damaged, it should be replaced with a new one in time.

4. In general, only one carbon brush can be replaced for each carbon brush holder at the same time. The quantity of each replacement cannot exceed 1/10 of the total

5. When replacing, only one carbon brush holder can be removed at a time. After replacement, each carbon brush must be put into the brush holder baffle, and then put into the generator brush socket. After replacement, measure the current to confirm that the carbon brushes are in good contact.

6. When the brush holder cannot be removed, do not shake it violently to prevent damage to the brush holder and brush socket, and should be notified for maintenance.

7. When replacing, avoid the high load of the generator, and do it when the generator and excitation system are normal and faulty.

8. When replacing the carbon brush, when the contact surface between other carbon brushes and the slip ring is found not smooth and rough, check whether the slip ring is smooth and clean, and if there is a problem with the slip ring, immediately notify the maintenance and repair.
