How to choose the right motor in one minute?

Motor refers to an electromagnetic device that realizes the conversion or transmission of electrical energy through the law of electromagnetic induction, and plays a very important role in industrial production. Both brushed motors and brushless motors are commonly used motors. The most simple and direct difference is whether there are carbon brushes in the structure. In addition, there are great differences between the two. Let me introduce to you the difference between brushed motor and brushless motor?

1. Advantages and disadvantages of each
The brushed motor has a simple structure, low production cost, and simple control. The motor can be started or stopped by turning on or off the power supply. However, the carbon brush in the brushed motor is a wearing part, which needs to be replaced after long-term use. When the dust enters between the carbon brush and the commutator, it will aggravate the wear of the carbon brush. In addition, due to the carbon brush inside the brushed motor, noise will be generated when rotating at high speed, which affects the user experience.
Brushless motors use Hall elements instead of carbon brushes, which eliminates wear-related problems, is relatively easy to maintain, and has a longer service life and lower noise than brushed motors. However, due to the complex structure of the brushless motor, the volume is larger than that of the brushed motor, the cost is higher, the price is relatively expensive, and the reliability is affected by electronic components, which is more susceptible to interference than the brushed motor.
2. Speed regulation method
The brushed motor speed regulation process is realized by adjusting the voltage of the power supply. The adjusted voltage and current are converted through the commutator and the brush to change the strength of the magnetic field generated by the electrodes to achieve the purpose of changing the rotational speed. This process is called variable speed regulation.
In the process of brushless motor speed regulation, the voltage of the power supply of the motor remains unchanged, but the control signal of the ESC is changed, and the switching rate of the high-power MOS tube is changed by the microprocessor to realize the change of the speed. This process is called variable frequency speed regulation.
