What should I do if the DC motor is rusted?
Leave a message
A micro DC motor refers to a rotating motor whose output or input is DC power, which is called a micro DC motor. Its efficiency is generally higher than other types of motors, so to achieve the same output power, the volume of DC motors is generally relatively small. For limited installation locations, micro DC motors are relatively suitable. 2. The micro DC motor can automatically decelerate according to the size of the load to achieve a great starting torque. We all know that if
the micro DC motor is used for too long, if it is not maintained or used improperly, it will cause the motor to rust and cause motor loss. So what should I do if the permanent magnet DC motor is rusted? Below, Vshida Micromotor will briefly introduce to you how the rusted motor makes it "live"?
1.Mechanical rust removal method: This method is to use machinery and some simple tools to remove rust spots under the action of force. This method is suitable for motors with a shallow rust layer, which can be polished with emery cloth, and an emery cloth with appropriate thickness should be selected according to the surface roughness of the polished part, so as not to damage the original accuracy of the motor. When grinding with emery cloth, the grinding direction should be consistent with the original processing direction as much as possible. For those parts (shaft extensions and bearings) that require high dimensional accuracy, attention should be paid to the control of the grinding amount to prevent waste caused by excessive grinding.

For permanent magnet motors with thick rust layers and complex shapes, it is not suitable to use simple tools such as sandpaper to remove them. At the same time, for parts with loose size requirements, scrapers, files, grinding wheels and other tools can be used for cleaning according to the situation. For castings with serious corrosion, the special shot blasting machine of the foundry can be used for processing.
2. Chemical barrier rust method: This method is to apply a liquid "rust remover" to the rusted part and remove the rust under chemical action. The advantage is that it has little effect on the dimensional accuracy of the treated part, which is relatively labor-saving, but it is limited to a shallow rust layer, and some parts after rust removal will lose their original luster due to chemical reactions.

The above is the rust removal method of permanent magnet motor introduced by Vshida Micro motor. For more relevant information, please continue to pay attention to us.
