What Should I Do If The DC Motor Is Short-circuited?

If the DC permanent magnet motor is used improperly during operation, it will cause short circuit problems. What should I do if the winding is shorted?

1. When the number of short-circuit turns of each phase winding of the DC permanent magnet motor is less than 1/12, each turn of the line can be disconnected, and the conductive parts can be connected to form an emergency closed loop.

2. When the number of turns at the short-circuit point of the winding exceeds 1/12, all must be removed and grounded again.

3. When there is a short circuit in the wire trough, you can release the wire, find and repair the short-circuit point, and then put it back in the wire trough to paint and dry.

4. When the short-circuit point of the DC permanent magnet motor is on the back, insulating materials can be used to separate the short-circuit point, or the insulated wire can be re-wrapped, painted and dried.

When a short circuit occurs in the DC permanent magnet motor winding, do not worry, find out the cause in time, and take reasonable and effective solutions. If the treatment effect is not good, you can directly reverse the winding to ensure short-circuit repair. Otherwise, do not proceed further.
