The hollow cup motor breaks the rotor structure of the conventional motor and adopts an ironless rotor, also known as the hollow cup rotor. This new rotor structure completely eliminates the power loss caused by the eddy currents formed by the iron core. Coreless motors are DC, permanent magnet and micro servo motors.


At the same time, its weight and moment of inertia are significantly reduced, thereby reducing the mechanical energy loss of the rotor itself. By changing the rotor structure, the operating characteristics of the motor are greatly improved, not only with excellent energy-saving characteristics, but also with control and drag characteristics that cannot be achieved by iron-core motors.

The main features of the hollow cup motor are as follows.

1. Energy-saving features: The power conversion efficiency is very high, the highest efficiency usually exceeds 70%, and some products can exceed 90% (the iron core motor is generally 70%).

2. Control characteristics: fast starting and braking, very fast response, mechanical time constant less than 28ms, some products can reach less than 10ms (iron core motors are usually more than 100ms), in the high-speed operation within the recommended operating range, can Sensitive adjustment of motor speed.

3. Resistance characteristics: The working stability is very reliable, and the speed fluctuation is very small. As a tiny motor, you can easily keep speed fluctuations within 2%.

In addition, the energy density of the hollow cup motor is also greatly improved. Compared with iron-core motors of the same output, it is lighter, smaller, less noisy, and has better heat dissipation.
