What are the factors that need to be considered when selecting a miniature vacuum pump?

The purpose of vacuum pumps is to pump gas molecules out of the chamber and reduce the gas pressure in the vacuum chamber to the required vacuum level. Different vacuum system configurations need to be selected for different vacuum zones in order to achieve process specifications, work efficiency, equipment operating life and diverse vacuum zones. The following factors should be considered when selecting a vacuum pump to achieve the ideal configuration

1. whether the vibration of the vacuum pump has any effect on the environment or process,if it is prohibited in the production process,a vibration-free vacuum pump should be used or anti-vibration precautions should be taken.
2. Choose the type of main pump according to the maximum pressure of vacuum chamber. The ultimate pressure of the main pump should usually be half to a whole order of magnitude lower than the ultimate pressure of the vacuum chamber. Check the final vacuum level of the vacuum pump system according to the vacuum level required by the process, because the final vacuum level of the system determines the best working vacuum level of the system. In general, the ultimate vacuum of the system should be 50% lower than the ultimate vacuum of the previous pump and 20% lower than the working vacuum of the system.

3. When choosing a vacuum pump, you should know the composition of the gas to be pumped and choose the right vacuum pump for that composition. If the gas contains corrosive gas, particle dust, etc., you should consider choosing a dry vacuum pump, corrosion resistant vacuum pump, etc., or installing auxiliary equipment on the inlet piping of the pump. If the gas contains water vapor, particulate matter and corrosive gases, you should consider placing auxiliary equipment such as condenser, heat exchanger, dust collector etc. on the inlet pipeline of the pump.
4. Determine the vacuum volume, check and determine the time needed to reach the required vacuum level, the flow resistance and leakage of the vacuum pipeline. Consider the pumping rate needed to maintain the vacuum under certain process requirements after reaching the required vacuum level.

5. The vacuum pump selected for continuous production must be able to handle the demands of continuous production. Set the backup vacuum pump to automatically replace it when necessary to minimize production interruptions due to unforeseen accidents. If the process is bleeding less and less, the maintenance pump can be set to achieve energy saving and consumption reduction.
6. The economics of vacuum pump selection process, various vacuum pumps can meet the needs of the process at the same time, economic analysis of the cost and operation cost, choose the economic, reliable performance, low maintenance requirements, easy to use and maintain the vacuum pump.
