What Are The Reasons Why The Motor Insulation Group Is Zero?

Motor in standby, long-term operation or long-term storage state, the insulation resistance of the motor is equal to zero, or the insulation resistance value does not meet the requirements, it indicates that the insulation of the motor is poor. The reasons are usually as follows.

1. Due to the long-term overload operation of the motor, a large amount of heat is generated and the heat dissipation is not sufficient, resulting in insulation aging.

2. The cold air from the external vent enters the motor, or the humid environment causes water to drip into the inside of the motor, causing the insulation layer to be obstructed and reducing its resistance.

3. The insulation is chemically or physically corroded, causing the winding to ground.

4. Burn marks on the wire glue plate or be struck through

5. The bearing obviously leaks oil, or there is dust and oil on the winding, which makes the insulation resistance lower.

6. Conductive powder is worn inside the winding by the slip ring or brush, which reduces the insulation resistance of the rotor.
