The deceleration and speed regulation of micro gear motor are two different concepts. Speed regulation is to adjust the output speed of the micro DC motor by changing the DC voltage. Output torque and speed are affected by the number of gear stages. The more gear stages, the slower the output speed, the greater the torque, and the greater the efficiency loss.

There are two commonly used speed regulation methods for micro gear motors: stepwise speed regulation and stepless speed regulation. Among them, step-by-step speed regulation is simple, convenient, and low-cost, and is used in application scenarios with low-power deceleration motor speed regulation and few starts; the cost of stepless speed regulation is relatively high. The advantage is that the speed regulation is stable and suitable for various harsh environments. The disadvantage is that the speed regulation range is small. Stepless speed regulation is divided into mechanical speed regulation and electrical speed regulation. Electric speed regulation is suitable for asynchronous motor cascade speed regulation, rotor resistance speed regulation, etc.

The speed regulation of the geared motor is generally to adjust the speed of the micro geared motor by connecting the control board to control the power supply voltage. The higher the voltage, the higher the speed, and the lower the voltage, the lower the speed. When the voltage is lower than the minimum starting voltage, the current will increase rapidly. Running in this state for a long time will cause the temperature rise of the micro gear motor to be too high, resulting in serious heat generation and reducing the service life.
