What Tests Do Permanent Magnet Brushless Motors Need To Go Through?

The use of motors depends heavily on the results of tests conducted on permanent magnet brushless motors in various settings. What environmental tests are conducted on motors? I'll introduce to you below.

1. Salt spray examination

Permanent magnet brushless motor and controller anti-salt spray performance must adhere to all applicable requirements of the environmental test of electrical and electronic products Part 2: Ka salt spray test method. Apply the appropriate test procedures to the rating and performance of the rotating electrical machine, and the test results should be in compliance with the specifications.

2. Damp heat testing

The alternating damp heat test method and a 12-cycle test cycle are required by the damp heat test specifications for permanent magnet brushless motors used in typical climatic circumstances. As soon as the test is over, check the motor's insulation resistance within the box, and then carry out the withstand voltage test in accordance with 6.10. The test's results should support the assertion that the insulation between the motor's conductive components and the container can survive a withstand voltage test lasting one minute without failure or flashover. The waveform is a genuine sine wave, the test voltage is 2UN+1000V, the minimum value is 1500VV, the test voltage frequency is 50Hz.

3. Test at low temperatures

The permanent magnet brushless motor should be placed in a low temperature box, gradually cooled down to -25°C within the range of -25°C2°C, left off for three hours, and then passed through 0.5 times the rated voltage, which meets the -25°C low temperature test condition. At low temperatures, the motor can be started without load.
