What Winding Methods Are Available For Micro Motors?
Leave a message
The stator winding of a micro motor is an important part of the motor, different types of micro motors have different winding methods, the following is to introduce two common winding methods, concentric winding and iterative winding, let's learn more about it
1. Concentric winding
The concentric winding of a micro motor can have one or more layers in it. It consists of various rectangular coils mounted one after another in the same coil group and arranged in a zigzag pattern. This winding technique is used for general micro motors and some low power three phase asynchronous motors.
2. Iterative winding
In this winding method, each slot has a coil edge embedded in it and the outer ends of the slots are evenly split one after the other. All coils are of the same size and shape. Two variations of this winding are single-layer and double-layer; single-layer windings have one coil in each slot; double-layer windings have two distinct coil sides (top and bottom) of the coil set. Due to the various wiring variations of DC motor iterative windings, there are mixed wiring arrangements of single and double layers, as well as cross-wiring arrangements of single and double coils; in addition, the embedded shape from the end of the winding is called chain winding and basket winding, which are actually all iterative windings.
