The Speed Regulation Method of 795 42MM 24V Micro DC Motor

 

According to the speed characteristic equation of the DC motor, there are three ways to adjust the speed of the DC motor:
1) Adjust the armature voltage;
2) Weaken the excitation flux;
3) Armature circuit series resistance;
For stepless and smooth speed regulation within a certain range, it is best to adjust the armature supply voltage. Changing the resistance can only adjust the speed in steps; weakening the magnetic flux can smooth the speed adjustment, but the speed adjustment range is not wide, and it is often just to cooperate with the voltage adjustment scheme to make a small-scale magnetic field-weakening speed increase above the rated speed. Therefore, the real DC speed regulation system is mainly based on variable voltage speed regulation.

 

1. Modify the armature circuit's resistance to change the speed: With an increase in the external resistance R connected in series when the load is constant, the armature circuit's overall resistance rises and the motor speed falls.
2. Altering the armature voltage for speed regulation: The DC motor may provide stepless speed regulation over a broad range by continuously varying the armature supply voltage.
3. Variable armature voltage speed regulation is the most used speed regulation technique in DC motor speed regulation systems. It uses a thyristor converter for power supply.
