The advantage of using a brushless motor is that there is no surge current at each start. In fact, the motor has a soft start feature, so every time it starts, it doesn't jump straight to its full speed, but it gradually accelerates to its maximum speed. Please carefully check the dimensional drawings. You may need to make some spacers to the right height so that this motor fits your fan assembly. Also make sure that the motor you intend to replace is based on clockwise rotation. Since this is a brushless DC motor, please note your polar connection. The red line is the positive electrode 12v DC electrode connected to your power supply, and the black line is the negative extreme connected to your power supply. Reverse polarity can damage the electronic controller of the motor.
