1. Enameled wire

Enameled wire requires a thoroughly covered, uniform and smooth film layer. The film thickness and diameter must meet specifications. The performance of the enameled wire is determined by the enamel film, which generally includes the following items.

(1) Mechanical properties: The enamel film needs to be scratch resistant, flexible, and have the proper elasticity and elongation to withstand friction, bending, stretching and compression without suffering any damage throughout the winding, embedding and open shape, shaping, etc.

(2) Electrical performance: mainly the breakdown voltage of the enamel film should be high, for high-frequency, high-voltage motor winding with enameled wire, the requirements of the enamel film loss angle tangent to be small.

(3) thermal performance: including the softening breakdown of the enamel film, thermal aging and thermal shock performance. Softening breakdown performance indicates the ability of the enamel film to heat deformation under a certain pressure; thermal aging performance reflects the ability of the enamel film to retain a certain elasticity after a short period of thermal action; thermal shock performance is reflected in the baking, impregnation process or overload operation, the enamel film to withstand thermal shock (rapid cold, rapid heat) and does not rupture the ability.

(4) Chemical performance: the ability of the enamel film to resist corrosion of chemical substances such as acids, alkalis, salt spray, organic solvents or refrigerants.

2. Winding wire

At present, the common winding wire used in motor winding mainly has glass wire and film winding wire. Glass wire wrapped with alkali-free glass wire tightly wound in the bare wire or enameled wire, and by the adhesive insulating paint impregnated baking molten. Glass wire wrapped wire electrical and mechanical properties are better than the enameled wire, heat-resistant grade depends on the adhesive insulating varnish and enameled wire heat-resistant performance.

3. Inorganic insulated wire

Among motor windings made of inorganic insulated wire, aluminum wire with oxide coating dominates. It produces a thick film of aluminum trioxide on the surface of the aluminum wire during the anodizing process. It has the advantages of thin insulation layer, good heat resistance, radiation resistance, etc.; however, due to the porous oxide film, the breakdown voltage is low, and the resistance to bending, scratch resistance, acid resistance and alkaline resistance is poor.

4. Special electromagnetic wire

The insulation structure and performance of special electromagnetic wire is suitable for special environments. For example, the submersible motor winding with polyvinyl chloride insulation wire and polyethylene insulation nylon sheath electromagnetic wire. The former has good water resistance, but low utilization of slot space; easy to damage the insulation layer when winding the coil, used for general diving motors. The latter has good water resistance and high sheath mechanical strength, but low slot space utilization, commonly used in water-filled submersible motors.
