Why are pure copper coils more popular than aluminum coils?

The motor is composed of two parts: the stator and the rotor. The rotor core is wound with a pure copper coil. The function of the winding is to generate electromagnetic torque and induced electromotive force, which plays a key role in the energy conversion of the miniature DC motor. Common coil materials are pure Copper coils, and some use aluminum coils.

The pure copper coil is heavier than the aluminum core motor at the same level, the volume will be larger, and the color of the coil will be different. Under the same conditions, the resistance of the aluminum core is larger than that of the copper core. Pure copper coils have the following characteristics:

reduction motor

1. The aluminum wire micromotor is light in weight and relatively cheap, but the mechanical strength is poor, and oxidation is easy to occur at the end of the connecting wire, which will cause the temperature of the motor to rise and poor contact, resulting in failure. The aluminum wire motor is not easy to weld, and the strength Small, low melting point, which will cause too high temperature rise and increased loss.

2. The noise of the copper coil micro motor will be smaller, and the noise of the aluminum coil micro motor is about 2 times that of the copper motor.

3. The pure copper coil is not easy to heat up, and the service life will be longer.

4. The electrical conductivity is better. The aluminum wire micro motor will generate heat after working for a long time, and the overall performance is not as stable as the pure copper micro DC motor. The power of the aluminum wire DC motor is much smaller than that of the pure copper motor.

5. The pure copper coil micromotor is more power-saving. The resistance in the circuit components is proportional to the heat generation. The greater the resistance, the greater the heat. On the contrary, the smaller the resistance, the smaller the heat.
