The keyway of the driving wheel and the depth of the keyway of the shaft extension end of the geared motor are not constructed according to the matching size, which causes the single side to be damaged owing to insufficient force, when the flat key is assembled on the rotating shaft of the geared motor.

3. The maintenance staff does not drive the geared motor in accordance with its operating instructions; instead, they tap the flat key's end to encourage inspection of the key and the rotating shaft of the geared motor. excessive extrusion, which causes the keyway to break in one or both directions.

4. The processing flat key material is not made in accordance with manufacturing, is damaged, and has a rigidity that is higher than that of the gear motor shaft material.

1. Once the contamination has been completely removed, apply welding to the rotating shaft's keyway after it has been roughly cleaned with gasoline two to three times and thoroughly cleaned with acetone.

2. With used carbon brushes, create dummy keys, and insert them into the worn-out grooves.

3. The dummy key can be removed after cooling because the welding seam's temperature is at the same level as the shaft surface. Trim until the driving wheel matching requirements are satisfied using a handheld grinder or a fine file.
