What Are The Steps Of Environmental Testing For Permanent Magnet Brushless Motors?
Leave a message
Permanent magnet brushless motors must undergo rigorous environmental testing before they are authorized for use, as the environment has a significant impact on their performance and life. So what environmental tests are permanent magnet brushless motors subjected to? Here's a look
1.Salt spray
The salt spray resistance of brushless permanent magnet motors and controllers should meet the applicable requirements of Ka salt spray test method in Part 2 of Environmental Testing of Electrical and Electronic Products.

2. Damp heat
For permanent magnet brushless motors, they shall be able to withstand alternating damp heat tests, as well as must pass the voltage resistance test; there must be no rotor stall and no visible traces of rust or grease on the surface of the casing.
3. Low temperature
According to -25℃ low temperature test condition, put the permanent magnet brushless motor in the low temperature box, gradually cool down to -25℃ in the range of -25℃±2℃, keep no power for 3 hours, then make the motor go through 0.5 times of rated voltage, let the motor start at low temperature with no load.
