What Should We Pay Attention To When Choosing A Vacuum Pump Correctly?

The working pressure of micro vacuum pump should meet the requirements of limit vacuum and working pressure of vacuum equipment. For example, a vacuum drying process requires 10mmHg of working vacuum, the ultimate vacuum pump vacuum selection should be at least 2mmHg, preferably to reach 1mmHg. Usually, the ultimate vacuum of the selected pump is half to an order of magnitude higher than the working vacuum of the vacuum equipment. Select the working point of the vacuum pump correctly. Each pump has a certain working pressure range, such as: 2 BV series working pressure range of water ring vacuum pump 760mmHg~25mmHg (absolute pressure). In such a wide pressure range, the pumping rate of the pump changes with the pressure (refer to the performance curve of the pump for detailed changes), and its stable working pressure range is 760~60mmHg. Therefore, the working point of the pump should be selected within this range, but can not let it work at 25~30mmHg for a long time.
The vacuum pump shall be able to exhaust all the gas produced in the vacuum equipment process. Combine the vacuum pump correctly. Because the vacuum pump has selective pumping, therefore, sometimes the selection of a pump can not meet the requirements of pumping, several pumps need to be combined to complement each other to meet the requirements of pumping. For example, titanium sublimation pump has a high pumping speed for hydrogen, but can not pump helium, and tripole sputtering ion pump, (or dipolar asymmetric cathode sputtering ion pump) has a certain pumping speed for argon, the combination of the two, will make the vacuum device get a better vacuum degree. In addition, some vacuum pumps can not work at atmospheric pressure, need pre-vacuum; some vacuum pumps outlet pressure is below atmospheric pressure, need the front pump, so all need to use the pump together. Requirements for oil pollution caused by vacuum equipment. If the equipment strictly requires no oil, all kinds of oil-free pumps should be selected, such as: water ring pump, molecular sieve adsorption pump, sputtering ion pump, low temperature pump, etc. If the requirements are not strict, you can choose an oil pump, plus some oil pollution prevention measures, such as cooling trap, barrier, oil trap, etc., can also meet the requirements of clean vacuum.
Understand the composition of the pumped gas, gas without condensing vapor, particle dust, corrosive, etc. When selecting the vacuum pump, it is necessary to know the gas composition and select the corresponding pump for the pumped gas. If the gas contains vapor, particles, and corrosive gas, the auxiliary equipment, such as condenser, dust collector, etc., should be installed on the inlet pipe of the pump. How does the vacuum pump has on the environment. If the environment does not allow pollution, you can choose an oil-free vacuum pump, or discharge the oil and steam to the outdoor. Whether the vibration generated by the vacuum pump when working has any impact on the process and the environment. If the process does not allow, the pump without vibration or the anti-vibration measures should be selected. Price, operation and maintenance cost of the vacuum pump.
