What are the functions of the wheel motor?
Leave a message
Wheel motors have powerful functions and are used in a variety of different fields, today we will introduce you to the functions of wheel motors, then read on

1.Carrying and driving
The basic function of wheel motors is to carry and drive. The load-bearing is realized by relying on the axle bearing to realize the rotation from the centering with the stator, and the wheel rim of the vehicle is connected to the suspension axle housing through the axle bearing instead of the stator and rotor to carry the road shock absorber and load. And the drive is achieved by directly connecting the outer rotor to the wheel rim to achieve the purpose of direct drive.

2. Electronic differential control
Another duty of the wheel motor is the electronic differential control. Its implementation includes front wheel steering, which is done by the normal steering machine; rear wheel turning differential, which must be done by the electronic differential; turning radius, which is determined by the turning angle of the front wheel steering machine; and rear wheel turning differential, which is determined by the turning radius and wheelbase of the vehicle. The angle of the front steering is used to calculate the rear wheel differential. Even if the rear wheels cannot be driven strictly differential, it is still necessary to convert the inner wheels from "active" to "driven" by cutting the motor or adding a correction resistor in series in the circuit.

3. Recovery of braking energy
The wheel motor also has the function of recovering braking energy. During the braking process of electric vehicles, the kinetic energy of the whole vehicle is transferred to the motor through the wheels, which drives the motor brigade to turn. At this time, the motor works in the power generation state, charging the energy storage device, i.e., the battery or super capacitor, converting the braking energy into Shen energy stored in the energy storage device to realize the regeneration of energy use. At the same time, the resistance torque generated by the motor acts on the wheels to produce a braking torque, which acts as a deceleration brake.
