Are You Stumped with These Micro Motor Ten Questions?

1. Why does the micro motor produce shaft current?
Due to the small current generated by the contact resistance of components such as bearings and seals when it is running. First of all, when the motor rotates, a small contact resistance will be generated between the bearing and the bearing seat, and this contact resistance will produce a weak current, that is, the shaft current. Secondly, the seal of will also have a certain impact on the generation of shaft current. Due to the contact resistance between the seal and the shaft, the mini motor generates a certain shaft current. Finally, the structural design of the microwave machine sometimes has a certain impact on the shaft current. For example, a poorly designed the shaft can increase the resistance between the motor and the bearing, increasing the generation of shaft current.
Elimination method: It is necessary to improve the operating efficiency and reduce the contact resistance. The shaft current generation can be reduced by optimizing the structure design, selecting suitable bearings and using high quality seals.

2.Why can't general micro motors be used in plateau areas?
First of all, low air pressure and thin oxygen in the plateau area, which has a lot of adverse effects on the normal operation. Low air pressure will affect the heat dissipation and air cooling, and the oxygen dilution will lead to the shortening of the life of the internal components, the deterioration of performance, and the serious may even cause burnout. Secondly, the temperature in the plateau area is low, and the temperature difference at night is large, and it will also be affected. In a cold environment, the temperature of the internal components of the small one will drop, which will affect the effect, and even terminate the operation of the it.
Solution: For this situation, we can take some technical solutions to solve the problem. For example, the miniture motor can be reinforced and protected, while strengthening heat dissipation and cooling, shortening the working time and other programs, can effectively improve the stability and reliability in the plateau area.

3.Why should the micro-motor not run light load?
When it is operated with light load, its speed is relatively high, which will lead to insufficient load and low efficiency, thus wasting energy. At the same time, when it is operated with light load, the friction and vibration inside the motor will become more obvious due to the small load, which will bring greater loss and shorter service life to the motor, increase the maintenance cost, which is not conducive to the development of enterprises and the improvement of profits.
In order to make full use of the energy and make it run more efficiently, we should try to run it at full load. This can maximize the performance, improve work efficiency and productivity. In addition, in the process of using it , attention should also be paid to the reasonable selection of the rated power and the matched load to ensure the safe and stable operation.

4. What are the causes of micro motor overheating?
(1) overload operation, when using motors, if the continuous working time is too long for a period of time, or exceeds the range of the design workload, it may lead to overheating of them. Because this will make it need to withstand overload work, and long-term work may produce a lot of heat, resulting in overheating of it ;
(2) High ambient temperature;
(3) The supply voltage is unstable, and if an unstable voltage is received, it will also lead to overheating. Because the voltage instability will affect the normal operation, resulting in abnormal current and heat;
(4) Low speed operation time is too long;
(5) The power supply harmonics are too large.

5.What work needs to be done before the unused micromotor is put into operation?
(1) Test the electrical characteristics. This includes the test of voltage, current, power and other parameters. Can use oscilloscope, voltmeter, ammeter and other electrical equipment for measurement. Through the test, we can find out whether the electrical characteristics are normal, whether the circuit is connected, whether there is a short circuit and so on.
(2) Test the mechanical characteristics. This includes the condition detection of bearings, rotors, sensors and other components. By rotating, shaking and other ways can check whether the bearing is abnormal; By rotating the rotor, you can check whether the transmission chain is smooth; Through the sensor detection, it can determine whether the mechanical characteristics such as speed and steering are normal.
(3) Test the control characteristics. This includes communication protocols, signal amplitudes, feedback signals, etc. By checking the communication mode and observing the signal waveform, we can determine whether the control characteristics are normal.
(4) Clean the motor and replace the bearing grease.

6.Why can not arbitrarily start the micro-motor in the cold environment?
At low temperature, the metal will be cold and brittle, resulting in the structural material of it is easy to break. Cold temperatures also affect the electronic components and insulation materials, making their performance gradually decline. In addition, humidity in cold environments is also an important factor. The electronic components in it are easily corroded by water vapor, leading to a decline in the performance of the machine, or even failure. In addition, frost and icing are easy to form in a cold environment, which seriously affects the normal operation. Therefore, the operation in cold environments requires special environmental protection and physical protection measures.

7.What are the reasons for the motor missing phase?
(1) The coil is broken: because it is working for a long time, the coil may be out of phase due to copper wire breakage, short circuit, winding damage and other reasons.
(2) Drive device damage: the drive device is an important part of the control of the motor work, if the drive device failure, it will lead to motor phase loss.
(3) A problem with the control system: if the chip or sensor in the control system fails, it will lead to a problem with the control signal, resulting in a lack of phase.
(4) The load is too large: if the load is too large, it will cause it speed to decrease, the current is insufficient, and eventually lead to the lack of phase.

8. What are the causes of abnormal vibration and sound of the motor?
(1) Circuit problems: Unreasonable circuit design or poor circuit contact may lead to vibration and sound problems. In this case, it is necessary to check whether the circuit is wired according to the design requirements, whether there is a short circuit or open circuit and other problems, and solve them in time.
(2) Bearing problem: the bearing is an important structural component, such as bearing wear, bearing loosening and other factors, may lead to abnormal vibration and sound. At this time, the bearing needs to be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation.
(3) Unbalanced load: If there is an unbalanced load when it is running, it will affect the balance, resulting in vibration and sound problems. The solution to this problem is to balance the load.
(4) Wear problem: After long-term use, some parts will wear. Such as adjustable resistors, capacitors and other parts, may cause abnormal vibration and sound problems because of the age of use. The way to solve this problem is to replace the worn parts in time.
(5) Motor overload operation; Three phase current unbalance; Phase missing; Short-circuit fault occurs in stator and rotor windings. The welded part of the cage rotor is broken by opening welding.

9. What do you need to do before starting the motor?
(1) Measuring insulation resistance (for low-voltage motors should not be lower than 0.5MΩ); (2) Measure the power supply voltage. Check whether the wiring is correct and the power supply voltage meets the requirements; (3) Check whether the starting equipment is good (public number: pump manager); (4) Check whether the fuse is suitable; (5) Check whether the motor is grounded and zero is good; (6) Check whether the transmission device is defective; (7) Check whether the environment is suitable, remove flammable products and other debris.

10.What are the causes of micromotor bearing overheating?
(1) Old parts: aging, wear and fatigue are one of the common causes of overheating of bearings. If the bearing has been used for a long time, its lubricant may no longer be effective, increasing the friction between the bearings and accelerating the generation of overheating.
(2) too tight installation: If the bearing is installed too tight, it will lead to too fast wear and friction, thus increasing the possibility of overheating.
(3) Excessive oil or insufficient oil: bearings need oil to effectively reduce friction, if insufficient oil, or excessive oil injection, will lead to excessive wear and overheating.
(4) High temperature environment: In a high temperature environment, all mechanical devices will generate too much heat, so that bearings will also overheat. In this case, you can consider reducing the ambient temperature or using a high temperature resistant shaft.
