Common faults and solutions of gear reducer motors?
Leave a message
Long-term use of geared motors often encounters faults such as oil leakage and shaft breakage. Vistar Micro Motors summarizes several common faults and solutions for geared motors. Let's take a look.

1: The bearing temperature is too high
Reason: The transmission oil volume is too low, the lubricating oil has become embrittled and the bearing is damaged.
Solution: Check the amount of oil at room temperature and add lubricating oil.
2: The gear teeth are broken
Reason: overloaded work, gear quality problems.
Solution: Replace the parts and re-measure the load to see if the model selection is correct.

3: The input shaft is broken
Reason: The axial force is too large, and the installation deviation of the coupling is too large.
Solution: Replace the parts and check whether the angle deviation of the coupling installation exceeds the tolerance.
4: The working temperature of the reducer is high
Reason: The amount of oil in the reducer is too high or too small, the oil has been embrittled, and the lubricating oil pollution is serious.
Solution: Check and correct oil level.
5: Oil seepage
Reason: oil seal seal failure
Solution: Remove and replace the oil seal, and check the damage of the shaft at the position of the oil seal.

6: The sound of the gear reducer is abnormal or there is noise
Reasons: There is a lot of lubricating oil residue; the gear meshing position is damaged, the gear gap is large, and the bearing gap is large; the bearing is damaged or seriously damaged.
Solution: Check the gearing parts, it is very likely that the damaged parts need to be replaced, the bearing clearance should be adjusted, and the damaged bearings should be replaced.
7: Tooth surface damage or corrosion
Reason: The lubricating oil is of poor quality or has residues.
Solution: Remove and replace the damaged gear and replace the lubricating oil.

8: The reducer body is cracked
Reason: The axial force is too large and the gear teeth are broken.
Solution: use a welded box or an enlarged model.
