What are the installations of the geared motor?

Small speed regulating motors are also called gear motors in life. Gear motors are characterized by high efficiency, high reliability, long working life, easy maintenance, and wide application. Its series can be divided into single-stage, two-stage and three-stage gear reducer motors. There are mainly three types of installation layouts: expansion type, coaxial type and split type.

1. The characteristics of the split type of the two-stage cylindrical gear motor: the position of the outrigger shaft of the split type gear motor can be extended from any side, which is convenient for the overall configuration of the machine. To counteract the axial force, one of the shafts should be able to swim slightly axially to avoid jamming the gear.
2. The characteristics of the coaxial geared motor: the radial size is compact, but the axial size is large. Due to the large intermediate shaft, the shaft has a large deflection under load, so the load concentration along the tooth width is more serious.
3. In the unfolded type of the two-stage cylindrical gear motor, the gear is asymmetrical relative to the support position. When the shaft is bent and deformed, the load is unevenly distributed in the tooth width, so the shaft is designed with greater rigidity, and the gear is far away from the input end or output.
Some common types of materials used in geared motor housings include various aluminum housings, cast iron and stainless steel. Aluminum housings vary according to the manufacturing technology, which is usually sand casting, die casting, die casting, or aluminum billet machining.
In addition to the material itself, other factors also determine the quality and performance of the enclosure. For example, material thickness and reinforcements can change the housing strength of a geared motor and thus its service life.
