What are the precautions before starting the DC motor？

Most of us are familiar with DC motors, and many may not understand how to use them properly to maximize the efficiency of their use. The engine is not only in use, but also has precautions before starting. How much do you know before you start? 1. The problem of the DC contactor coil

For the DC contactor to work, the contactor coil must be able to work for a long time. For very stable series contactors, they all operate for a short time, so when the contactor operates for a long time, the coil will not burn out, preventing the coil from burning out.

2. Measurement of DC current

The shunt is generally used for the measurement of DC current. The main circuit is connected in series with a 100A, 75mv shunt, and the positive and negative poles of the shunt are connected to a 75mv 0~100A ammeter.

3. Reduce the starting current of the DC motor

In general, all other DC motors should be started at a starting current that is less than twice the rated current of the motor, except for DC motors below 4KW, which can be started directly. In order to reduce the starting current, a starting resistor is usually connected in series with the armature circuit to limit the starting current when the motor starts, or the starting current is limited when the motor starts. The starting voltage of the motor is reduced. Since the starting resistor is connected in series in the armature circuit, it is widely used because of its simple, economical and reliable equipment.

4. DC motor wiring

Power plants generally use shunt DC motors, the armature terminals are H1 and H2, and the shunt winding terminals are B1 and B2. The wiring method is to reconnect H1 and B1 in parallel. The positive pole of the DC power supply and H2 are connected in parallel to B2. Then connect the negative pole of the DC power supply.

In order to improve the efficiency of the DC motor and generate high mileage, all precautions must be strictly observed during and before use.
