1. Clean the exterior of the geared motor from sludge and contaminants, but avoid rotating the high-voltage motor shaft.

2. Disassemble the body of the DC gear motor, clean the silt and water stains inside the casing, rotor and slip ring cavity, then check if the winding is desoldered, if the brush is rusted and stuck on the brush holder, if the brush pressure is normal, and if the brush is close to the slip ring surface. If any problem is found, it should be repaired in time.

3. When drying the winding, use incandescent lamp baking to evaporate the moisture, or hang in the ventilation to dry naturally. However, to avoid short-circuiting or baking of the insulation layer, avoid using current heating or open flame baking. After drying, test the insulation capacity of each winding coil with a multimeter or megohmmeter. Inadequate insulation requires emergency repair
