How To Distinguish The Quality Of Micro-motor Bearings.

There are three main types of bearings commonly used in micro motors: rolling bearings, sliding bearings and oil-impregnated bearings, which are important components that support the rotation of the motor. Miniature or small motors generally use oil-impregnated bearings, which have few accessories and are maintenance-free, which is conducive to simplifying the structure; sliding bearings are mainly used in medium and large motors, suitable for heavy load and impact-resistant occasions; rolling bearings are the most widely used. Let me introduce to you how to distinguish the quality of micro-motor bearings.

(1) Cracks or nicks on any of the inner ring, outer ring, rolling elements, and cage
(2) Any one of the ferrule and rolling element is broken
(3) Significant scratches on the raceway surface, ribs, and rolling elements
(4) The cage is significantly worn, or the rivets are significantly loosened
(5) There is rust and damage on the raceway surface and rolling elements
(6) There are serious indentations and scratches on the raceway surface and rolling elements

(7) There is obvious creep on the inner diameter surface of the inner ring or the outer diameter surface of the outer ring
(8) Discoloration caused by heat is obvious
(9) The bearing sealed with grease, the seal ring or the dust cover is obviously damaged
Considering the degree of damage to the motor bearing, mechanical performance, importance, operating conditions, and the period until the next maintenance, it can no longer be used if the above defects are found, and new bearings must be replaced.
