What Indicators Should I Pay Attention To When Selecting Brushless Motors?

To help you pick the right motor for you, we will share with you today the indicators you should pay attention to when choosing a brushless motor.

1. Parameters of the motor

When choosing a motor some motor manufacturers have many small numbers represented by 4 digits, these numbers can have different meanings depending on the manufacturer, for example, the common 2212, 2216, 2204, etc. These four digits represent the size of the brushless motor, the first two are the diameter of the stator and the last two are the height of the stator; the exact specification depends on the brand you choose.

2. Current at no load.

The operating current when the motor is not loaded at the specified voltage.

3. Torque.

The driving torque produced by the rotor in the motor that can drive the mechanical load.

4.kv value

Speed / v means that the input voltage increases by 1 volt and the motor idle speed increases by kv times the voltage equals the number of revolutions per minute of the motor

5.Rotor structure

In addition to the dimensional parameters, brushless motors can be classified according to whether they have an outer rotor or an inner rotor. Simply speaking: Inner rotor motor is rotor and motor spindle turn together, motor base is fixed. With the housing as the stator, the internal and spindle as the rotor; external rotor motor is the rotor rotates together with the motor housing, the motor spindle is fixed, the housing as the rotor, the internal and spindle as the stator. Customers can choose brushless inner rotor structure or outer rotor structure according to their actual application.

6. Speed

Brushless motor speed per minute, motor torque and speed in the same motor is always a relationship between this and that, basically you can think of the product of torque and speed is a constant, that is, the higher the speed of the same motor, the lower the torque must be, the opposite is also still.

7. Operating temperature range

In many special application industries, the working temperature requirement of brushless motor is very special, such as high temperature environment and low temperature environment. The general working temperature range of brushless motors is between -20 to +100 degrees, and more strictly between -40 to +140 degrees.

8. Water resistance level

General brushless motor is not clearly stated is waterproof, in fact, otherwise, you can pay attention to the number behind the IP, a simple understanding is that the larger the number behind, the higher the level of waterproof. General motor protection level with IP plus the number said, the motor application environment with water to pay attention to this value.

The above is the brushless motor selection indicators need to pay attention to, I hope it will help you, more information about the welcome to contact us at any time
