Why won't the motor start?

Brushless DC motors have a wide range of applications, and they often encounter problems that cannot be started during use. What's causing this? What should we do in this situation?

1. Wrong connection of stator winding, such as wrongly connecting the delta into a star, or connecting the head and end in reverse, check and correct it.

2. The load of the brushless motor is too heavy, and the load should be reduced.

3. There is an error or fault in the wiring of the starting equipment, check and correct it, and remove the fault.

motor4. The power supply voltage is too low, the reason should be found;

Reduce the voltage drop too much when starting, if you use an auto-decompression starter, you can change the tap to increase the starting voltage.

5. The stator and rotor of the brushless motor rub against each other.

6. The stator winding is short-circuited or grounded between phases, which can be checked with a megohmmeter.

7. If the bearing is damaged or stuck, the bearing should be replaced.

8. The belt is pulled too tight and the friction increases, so adjust the belt tightness.

9. The stator winding or rotor winding is open circuit, it may be that the wound rotor brush is not in contact with the slip ring, and it should be checked and repaired.
