Difference between DC motor and AC motor

Literally speaking, the important difference between DC and AC is the difference in external power supply. DC motors use DC as the power supply (common DC12V, 24V, 36V, 48V, etc.); and AC motors use AC as the power supply. (such as household electrical AC220V, etc.).

Secondly, as far as the DC motor is concerned, the energized conductor is subjected to force in the magnetic field. In order to make the conductor turn, the direction of the current needs to be changed continuously. Therefore, for the DC motor, the carbon brush commutator is extremely important. However, the carbon brush has a life limit, and the carbon brush will produce sparks during wear, which will damage the motor and accelerate the process of motor scrapping. The AC motor does not have the problem of the carbon brush commutator. For the AC generator, the conductor rotates in the magnetic field (or the magnetic field rotates in the conductor) to obtain alternating current, and if the alternating current is passed into the coil, what is obtained is a rotation the magnetic field.
