What are the preparations before the DC motor starts?

In addition to paying attention to a number of factors when using them, DC motors also require appropriate setup before usage. Vshida micromotors will then go over the steps that must be taken before starting a DC motor.

(1) To remove the dirt and other items from the motor, use compressed air to blow the dust from inside the motor and the powder from the brush.

(2) Disconnect all of the motor's wiring, then measure the insulation resistance between the winding and the casing using a megohmmeter. Before measuring, the insulation resistance value should be dried if it is less than 5 megohms.

VRK-540SA-(4)

(3) Verify the commutator's surface for cleanliness and smoothness. If mechanical damage or spark scorch marks are discovered, the "Commutator Maintenance Method" should be followed.

(4) Verify if the brushes are too short, whether the brush holder's pressure is suitable, and whether the brush holder's location is consistent with the designated marks.

VRK-545SH-(3)

(5) Verify that the motor's wiring is secure and trustworthy, that the measuring device is connected properly, that the starter's spring is flexible, and that the rotating arm is in the detached position.

(6) The governor should be set to the lowest speed if the motor has variable speed.

The six preparations for the start of the DC motor that we have taken care of for you are listed above. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need additional pertinent information.
